Simon Buglione is the Managing Director of Sky Creative Agency, Sky’s in-house advertising agency and the UK’s largest in-house creative shop. Simon went to Tulse Hill Boys Comprehensive and Bournemouth University, where he did a degree in Media Production. He became a Runner then an Edit Assistant in post-production house Spitfire TV where he learned loads of skills from lining up 1’’ tapes to operating Chroma Key Studios, Matisse Paint, and Harry Suites, and generally got a great grounding in TV. He joined BBC News in 1994, first as a Camera Operator then Vison Mixer before taking on the role of Studio Director.
After a sustained period as the Director overseeing sets and branding Simon eventually went on to become Deputy Head of Presentation at BBC News before becoming Creative Director at BBC Sport where he oversaw and overhauled all set and graphics, as well as getting involved in promotion.
Simon joined Sky in 2007 as Creative Director for Sky News where he oversaw the establishment of its brand identity, promotions and set. He joined Sky Creative in 2014 as Creative Director for Sky News and Sky Sports and after 18 months as Executive Creative Director, was appointed Managing Director in 2016.
